Share contractor cases

Share selected ticket or incident context with an external contractor without giving them a Sicket account.

Contractor cases are protected by a share link and access code.

Organization admins and authorized landlords.

Observers cannot create, revoke, regenerate, or email contractor cases.

Open a ticket or incident detail page and choose Share with contractor.

You can review existing contractor cases on the Contractor cases page.

Decide who the case is for and what information should be shared.

Only share the minimum information the contractor needs.

  1. Open the ticket or incident that needs contractor follow-up.
  2. Choose Share with contractor.
  3. Review existing contractor cases.
  4. Create a new contractor case.
  5. Enter who the packet is for.
  6. Choose the contractor type, such as electrician, plumber, locksmith, elevator contractor, or general contractor.
  7. Enter the contractor recipient email when required.
  8. Choose which linked tickets and announcements to include.
  9. Choose which ticket details to share, such as timeline, conversation, attachments, internal notes, or resident information.
  10. Create the contractor case.
  11. Share the link and access code, or email the packet.

Packet title identifies who the case is for, such as “Elevator inspection details for technician John B.V.”

Contractor type helps classify the work.

Recipient email is the address that receives contractor packet information when email delivery is used.

Share link opens the protected contractor packet page.

Access code unlocks the packet. Keep it separate from the link where possible.

Expires at controls when the packet stops working.

Ticket information to share controls which parts of linked tickets are visible in the packet and PDF.

PDF creates an offline contractor packet. If an access code is available, the PDF can be protected with that code.

Contractors see only the information selected for the packet.

They do not receive a normal Sicket account.

They cannot browse unrelated tickets, incidents, buildings, tenants, notes, analytics, or settings.

Sicket records that a contractor case was created.

Staff can review, revoke, regenerate an access code, email, or download a PDF from the contractor cases page.

If a contractor loses the code, staff can regenerate and resend a new code.

If the contractor cannot open the packet, check the access code, expiration date, and revoked status.

If a PDF only shows record codes, check whether detailed ticket information was selected during packet creation.

If internal notes are sensitive, leave internal notes disabled.
