Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Choose the building or buildings that should receive the announcement. Announcements are building-scoped.
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”- Open
Announcements. - Choose
Create Announcement. - Enter the title and description.
- Choose the announcement type.
- Select the building scope if more than one building is available.
- Set the time window.
- Decide whether to show an in-app notification.
- Decide whether to send an email.
- Review and publish.
Field-by-field explanation
Section titled “Field-by-field explanation”Title is the short announcement headline.
Description is the tenant-facing message.
Type helps tenants and staff identify the kind of announcement, such as info, maintenance, or urgent.
Scope selects the building or buildings. Organization-wide announcements are not used.
Time window controls when the announcement is active. The start date can be in the past. When the end date passes, the announcement should become archived.
In-app notification controls whether tenants see a dashboard toast prompt.
Email delivery controls whether an email version is sent.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Published announcements appear for the selected buildings during the time window.
Archived announcements are hidden from tenants and remain available to staff for auditing.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”If an announcement was sent by email, core content may be locked to avoid silently changing what tenants already received.
If tenants do not see a notification, check whether in-app notification was enabled and whether the time window is active.
