Create your first building

Create the first building in Sicket so tenants, landlords, tickets, announcements, and knowledge base entries can be connected to a real location.

Organization admins with building management access.

During organization setup, use the first building step. Later, go to Buildings and choose Create Building.

Prepare:

  • building display name
  • country
  • address
  • postcode
  • city
  • optional street number range
  • building accent theme
  1. Open the first building step or the Buildings page.
  2. Select Create Building.
  3. Enter the building display name.
  4. Fill in the address fields.
  5. Choose the building accent theme.
  6. Review the summary.
  7. Create the building.

Building display name is the name shown in the dashboard, tenant pages, invitations, and scope selector. Keep it short enough to fit in the topbar.

Country, street, street number, postcode, and city identify the building address.

Street number range is useful when one building record covers a range, such as numbers 72 to 84.

Accent theme controls the dashboard accent color when that building is selected. It affects buttons, selected states, focus rings, and key highlights. It does not change ticket status colors.

After the building exists, you can invite landlords, invite tenants, create units, add knowledge base entries, and publish building communications.

If the building name is too long, shorten it before saving. Long names can become harder to scan in the sidebar and topbar.

If address results look duplicated, check whether province or city was entered with the same value.
