Announcements are for one-to-many communication.
They are different from Tickets, which are used to track a specific problem or request.
When to use Announcements
Section titled “When to use Announcements”Announcements work well for:
- planned maintenance notices
- urgent building updates
- general resident communication
- organization-wide updates
When not to use Announcements
Section titled “When not to use Announcements”Do not use an Announcement when the situation needs:
- individual follow-up
- a tracked workflow
- comments tied to one request
That is what Tickets are for.
Scope in Announcements
Section titled “Scope in Announcements”Announcements can be:
- organization-wide
- building-scoped
What a user sees depends on their role and scope.
Pinned Announcements
Section titled “Pinned Announcements”Important Announcements can be pinned for a period of time so they stay more visible in the dashboard.
